Nuts for Nuts

Trail mix is the perfect on-the-go snack. Filled with protein, fiber, and carbs, trail mix gets you full and energized. Honestly, who doesn’t love this tasty snack? The perfect combination of crunchy salty and sweet… But what happens when someone wants a little more salty than sweet or a little more crunchy than salty?

Luckily nuts.com allows customers to customize their trial mix exactly to their liking. So when I had the opportunity to test the product, what did I order? I opted for more of a random assortment. My combo included roasted peanuts, dried cranberries, salted pistachios and sour peach Gummies. While many customers probably order their mix with the intention of eating the ingredients together, I decided to eat my snacks separately. The pistachios and peanuts were a perfect homework chow while the Gummies and berries satisfied my sweet tooth.

Nuts.com also offers a number of pre-made options as well. From the Heart Healthy Mix (raw almonds, dried apples, dried apricots, raw English walnuts, dry roasted soy bean halves, and whole dried cranberries) to the Power Mix (roasted Virginia peanuts, light raisins, dark raisins, dried strawberries, dried cherries, dried cranberries, and roasted soy beans) there is  something for everyone.

There is even a Perfect Vision Mix aimed to improve reading! And if you still can’t find something to your liking, you can always make you own – a fun way to go since there are so many options. The site also sports a Nutty Nutrition guide so customers know exactly what is going inside their bodies. Customers can buy ingredients in 1lb, 5lb, 25lb, and sample size increments. I recommend buying extra and then dividing the mix up into smaller bags at home – perfect for throwing in your backpack or sports bag.
