World Snowboard Day 12/19/10

Grab your gear and hit the slopes! Join the world on Sunday, December 19, 2010 for the 5th Annual World Snowboard Day.

The World Snowboard Day can be celebrated anywhere there is snow  (and even where there isn’t)

The aim of the day is to promote snowboarding as a sport and culture. It’s a unique opportunity for the international snowboard community to offer many activities on all the world summits.

The event concept is simple: worldwide federations, schools, clubs, shops, resorts and riders offer during one day a large number of free activities to beginners and advanced snowboarders. In the program: initiations, products testing, contests, pro riders signings, concerts, parties, environmental awareness, etc, for everyone and for every age.

For its 5th edition, this event will be celebrated in an increasing number of ski resorts and cities worldwide. Nearly 40  countries are already involved and 100’s of  events are scheduled as the event continues to grow!

Check out an event near you or organize one of your own by joining the WSD community on Facebook and Twitter (@wdsnowboardday).
