WNT stars Abby Wambach, Hope Solo, Alex Morgan et al enjoying the moment

By now, we all know how the Women’s World Cup played out. Despite theheartbreaking outcome, the USWNT hasn’t had much time to feel down about their loss to Japan (on penalty kicks no less).
It’s been 12 years since the US was in a Women’s World Cup final and this American team showed such class, pride and respect during their run for the championship that they captured the hearts of a nation. They won over fans new and old with their passion and love for the game and they’ve been enjoying the moment since their return to the states.
Two of the team’s stars, Hope Solo and Abby Wambach appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and at the end of the segment, managed to kick a ball into the open door of a passing cab. Wambach’s WPS homecoming match was a sell-out as fans packed the Rochester stadium to see Wambach and national teammates Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe. Players also appeared live in Times Square on Good Morning America.
Hope Solo and Alex Morgan were on the red carpet for the final season premiere of “Entourage” in New York last night. Look for these soccer stars to continue to find their place in the limelight. Beautiful, talented women all of them who deserve all of the accolades they’re receiving.
